Dominique Lescarret "El Ingeniero", works as DJ, in tango, for more than twenty years, mainly, and until now, in his own milonga.
Since 2017, having closed this venue, he has been offering his DJ services outside Marseille and France..
He has selected and restored over 5,000 tangos, waltzes and milongas from his personal discography of some 60,000 titles.
His preferred programming covers the golden period with the great tango classics, either originals or covers by contemporary orchestras: Solo Tango, Sexteto Cristal , Hyperion, La Juan d'Arienzo, etc... But he can, on request, offer more modern creations and pieces, according to the organizers' wishes and the dancers' desires.
His equipment is top-notch: two Asus computers, a top-of-the-range Dac, a set of professional cords and gold-plated contacts. Most of his tracks are in lossless, Aiff or Flac format. Some have been transposed, resampled and corrected by him, using original vinyl from Argentina bought during his travels. Others come from the two main downloadable sources of original shellacs to be found on the net, and a large collection of CDs completes the range of tracks available to dancers. Last but not least, his style always favours a certain dynamism in his choice of tunes and in the way he creates his tandas.
